EXPERIMENTAL PROJECT LIBREVILLE SQUARE

The project represents the Independence Square of the city of Libreville.
The predominant element of the project is the separation of the different areas by different altimetric levels, connected by pedestrian and driveways. Along this variation are installed the seats in wood obtained from the difference.
You can arrange 4 different areas: the area of the square, the park area, the rest area and a parking lot in front of the hotel. Each dialogue with the element of naturalness: The tree and the water.
The paving in the green areas has a fragmented appearance and assumes the material nature of the space: Wood for the park and Stone in the square.
The project embodies the history of the city through accurate recalls.
The entrances to the square have vertical elements in Corten as a symbol of ancient slavery and in the opposite position there is a wall-fountain in memory of the people who fell in the name of freedom.
